Type & Image

This project required creating a series of five posters that visually combine type and image in a specific and meaningful way. Original photography is used for each poster and altered slightly to look as professional as possible. There are four different relationships depicted between the type and image.

Inversion: Type as the image. The photo of Express incorporates this illusion.

Fusion: Type is working with the space. This is demonstrated in the Banksy Street Art photo.

Separation: This is where type ignores space and follows the convention of reading left to right and top to bottom. The photo of Madrid architecture depicts this process.

Fragmentation: Type is displaced by space. This is shown in the Ludwig Mies photo.
